Book description from Goodreads;
Seventeen-year-old Glory Templeton's blood holds the cure for a deadly pandemic-plague and she embarks on a quest to save humanity. When evil forces conspire to stop her, three supernatural beings are assigned to be her guardians. Forbidden love, ancient secret societies, mysterious astronomical monuments, vampires, witches, angels and demons all contribute to the high adventure that tests the character of this remarkable young woman. The legend of Glory begins! "Twilight meets The DaVinci Code..."

My Review; (spoiler free)
I really enjoyed this book. It grabs your attention right from the beginning and takes you on a journey full of heartbreak, tragedy, love and hope. The main Character Glory is on a mission to find the Scientists who are in hiding and her Mother that's been kidnapped by Scorpio Pharmaceuticals International. They are the only ones that can make an antidote for the public from Glory's blood. Glory's Mom has left her with some information to help her get her mission started and it teams her up with an unusual team of people including her Dad's dog Hallie. She deals with loss, heartache and love along the way. I think this is a great YA book, the violence was kept light and there was no foul language or strong sex scenes. Not all the problems were solved in the first book and it leaves off with a cliffhanger. I will definitely be diving into the next installment of Glory called Pretty Sacrifices which is scheduled to release before Summer 2012.
A quote from the book that I really liked, "We are as wise or strong as we allow ourselves to be, Glory. It all comes from that divine spark within. Do everything you can to fan the flame, because this world needs your fire. You have only begun to fight the good fight."
