Immortal Rider Review

  Lord of Deliverance Series

Description from Larissa Ione website:
"They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Arik Wagner, a soldier with the U.S. Army's paranormal unit, the R-XR, kissed a girl and liked it. And then he went to hell as punishment. Where he's spent weeks being tortured…and plotting revenge.
Limos, Horsewoman of the Apocalypse, isn't your average girl. She's immortal, dangerous, and her fiancé is Satan himself. In a moment of weakness, she gave in to her desire and kissed Arik, triggering her fiancé's wrath – and his claim on her. In order to save Arik, and the world, Limos must make a dangerous pact with her recently turned evil brother, Pestilence. A deal that might just cost her her soul…and her heart."

Do you ever have those moments when you've read the last page of an amazing book and you just sit there. Thinking about how much that book affected you. Feeling elated that it ended the way you hoped but also leaving you on the edge of your seat because there's still more to come. This book was one of those books for me. As I closed the book after reading that last page I just sat there with a smile on my face. I developed a love for Thanatos, a lot is learned about him in this book. The turmoil inside him is so huge, the loneliness he feels is bone deep and well, the image in my head of him is so smokin' hot I can't help but be gravitated to him. It is hard at times to remember Limos is an Immortal let alone a Horseman.  She seems so Human, full of compassion for the people she loves even though she lies to them too.  What Human hasn't done that, lied to protect someone elses feelings. Ok Limos's was a little larger than a white lie and her Brothers took it about like you'd expect. Their furious! Arik and Limos's relationship is combustible. I don't think any other man could have endured what Arik did and still be alive. I loved how their relationship unfolded. Can't forget Pestilence, he is up to some dirty tricks but have the other Horseman found a way to get him back or is it too late.
I hope everyone reads this series, it is definitely worth it!

Every time Larissa Ione has a new book coming out I always have high hopes and I have yet to be let down. She is an amazing writer and I can't wait to meet her in New Orleans for AAD 2012!

If you haven't checked out Larissa Ione's Demonica Series I highly recommend reading it before the Lord of Deliverance Series. It will get you more familiar with a lot of the characters and how the Demon world works. To find out more about the Demonica Series just click on Larissa's pic and it will take you right to her page. If you've read the book post comments, I would love to hear what you thought!
